Refills on existing prescriptions should be done during weekday working hours only. Contact your pharmacist to have them fax our office the refill request so that we can handle your request in a timely manner. If calling for a new prescription or a prescription at a different pharmacy, please have the pharmacy phone number available. Doctors on call on the weekend or at night do not have your child’s chart and will not be able to refill medications.
Some medications require “duplicate” prescription forms (i.e. Ritalin, Concerta). Not all of our doctors write this type of prescription. Duplicates cannot be called in to a pharmacy. The prescription must be picked up in our office or mailed home. Please give your doctor 48 hours notice of when you need the prescription by.
